Junior Gabriela Slamova is young, talented, admirer of great cyclist Marco Pantani and Lance Armstrong. She is a talented cyclist riding for Dukla Brno.
Gabriel you are a cyclist by spirit and body. Does cycling have a tradition in your family? Who inspired or drove you to be a cyclist?
My father drove me to be a cyclist. He was World Champion in points race and medal holder in Olympic games held in Moscow.
You won the second position on Track, were you suprised?
In this race, I dedicated half a season. I regularly went to Prague, where I completed training under the guidance of Lukase Thuna. The second position gave me great happiness. It was a beautiful feeling to stand on the victory podium. For major achievement, I got 4th position for the points where I lost one point in the last round. In the 4th position I felt very bad, but I think most riders would understand why.
Which race result do you treasure the most?
That of course will be scratch and points for me and good positioning between the boys in the Peace Race.
Which races do you like or are close to your heart?
I love Mountain slopes and Tour de France. I feel a cold shiver run down my back when I watch Tour, so for sure stage races.
In which races are you going to participate in the coming few months?
For now, I am preparing for track and road race which awaits me in another two weeks at Moscow.
What is your target in the future? What is your dream?
As I had mentioned, my heart pounds for mountain rides, so I will go in this direction.

This year, she completed her 3rd year of Integrated Polygraphic high school in Brno-Czech Republic.
She has dedicated herself 100 percent to cycling.
She listens to band groups Jaksi Taksi, Simple plan or for example The Hydes.
She is delighted to hear praises from her father Igor which happens only when she really deserves it. Sometimes critical opinions from people upsets her, who have nothing to prove, blame it on others momentary.
She loves her mothers cooking especially "Leco" and lasagne.

Hi Gabriela,
Are you happy with the cycling season 2009?
This season I am happy 120%.
For cycling this year I gave really too much time and effort, (energy).
I am really happy that all this energy which I gave to cycling has come back to me in the face of medals from Europe and World Championship.
I am happy that I have achieved good results in the stage race Hana Tour and Peace Race in Jevicko.
In the end I won the Czech Championships in the road race so I am happy with the results. Thanks to all the people who helped me and supported me the whole year.
Gabiel Slamova was born on April 29th, 1991 in Brno - Czech Republic.
She is a young talented junior road and track rider. She races for the Czech Republic Team Dukla Brno and she is on the Czech National Team.
Gabriela Slamova is the Czech road Champion in junior women category for this year and she is really the best rider in Czech Republic in the road race.
She started at the begining of the year in the UCI 2.2 stage race Gracia Orlova where she participated with all the top pro women teams.
Every year Gabriela goes to the World and European Championships in the junior women category for track and the road race.
This year she was third in World Championships on the track Omnium, and second in European Championships on the track in the scratch race.
