I posted basically the same photo twice, because I thought it had such good depth of field and composition. This would make an awesome print with a little better and richer detail, but all things considered, it's one of the best photos I have ever shot. Mara Abbott climbs like a deer, and has the bit between the teeth on this wicked climb. Nearly all the men who came up this climb were huffing and puffing, but I never heard a sound out of either Mara Abbott or Kim Anderson. They climb with Zen like meditation, and no wasted motion whatsoever. If anyone makes this look easy, its Mara Abbott and Kim Anderson, as they are spot on, or tack on, when it comes to the dynamics of climbing. Mara is set to become the next pure climber along the likes of another newcomer Emma Pooley, and maybe America's first pure climber. However Mara is not completely new to the game, as she won Mount Washington one year, a feat to be admired.
