The biggest credit for these archives goes to Alfred North for race results. The bulk of my research was done thanks to the superb archives of Alfred North, which I obtained the last of his old historical library years ago. I also had to spend a great deal of time finding results from various sources worldwide. Certainly Alfred North is the most accomplished women's cycling historian in the world today by far, so the credit is his and mine.

I did all the work on these archives, using his old library largely for some very rare results indeed that go way, way back! I also credit various sites worldwide who still maintain results on their local racing websites. This number of races listed here worldwide will grow over time, as time permits to do the research. If you have any results to fill in the few question marks that exist, feel free to email me with the results, some go way back, and are extremely hard to find.

In America, there is at least one guy who has the whole Velonews collection in his basement. There might be others out there with the whole collection since 1972, but I seriously doubt it besides Velonews themselves! Peter Nye of Bicycling Hall of Fame told me that in the old days, the USCF kept their race results on 3 by 5 cards kept in shoe boxes in the old archives. They started in a one room office in New York city before moving to Colorado.

Today, its unclear as to if and how far back the old USCF archives goes. Alfred North probably has the biggest collection of cycling results worldwide, but its also unclear how much various organizations and individuals worldwide have privately tucked away in secret closets!
