Redlands was nice and if there is one image that stood out this year I could comment on that really struck me, it was this one of Amber Neben. It's a portrait of the modest world champion in yellow, a great image, and I managed to get it right. Colors and clarity are perfect, and it speaks volumes! Amber was very pleasant to talk to, and she is very professional and even handed. That is what I noticed the most. These are qualities you don't always see in people.

Another rider that stood out this year was Rachel Heal! She looks really great! Its not just the Colavita colors either, but she looks better then I have ever seen her! She used to ride with Leontien Van Moorsel in the days of Farm Frites. She looks really happy too, and that's great. I wish her the best of luck! However, all the women look great in the album, and thanks for allowing me to be part of that!

Favorite or best photos at Redlands? Ah..., let me see! How about these below? Let's take a look!

This one has to be either the best or close to it. Why? Well, funny thing was I was kneeling without my knee pads, ouch!, and I was taking cover in a shaded spot provided by the banner that was like 2 feet thick and that was blocking out the sun some, but not totally. I was shooting totally in the blind, I couldn't see anything with the sun right on the horizen, and I got this? This could of been a great portrait! Katherine Matthis looks stunning, and Amber Neben is always very even handed in front of the camera and very professional, but if Rushlee was just standing up a bit at that angle, this could have been an awesome portrait of the three. The chances of getting a great portrait at random serendipidy style are a million to one, but still this photo was great, IMHO!

I like this image of a little group conversation before the start!

I love this shot of Kim Anderson, Alex Wrubleski and Meredith Miller during the criterium!

I like this shot of Canadian rider during the criterium! It's tact or redline, as far as clarity and color!

I like this shot of Tibco looking to Tiffany Cromwell during the climb at Bogart Park!
I'm guessing that is Julie Beveridge of Tibco!

There are others, but I can't show them all! That's what the gallery is for! On the photos, the most compelling set of three, had the camera got it right would of been the three above. As it turned out, predictive auto focus grabbed some other hands with bottles that was edited out of these photos, but perhaps at F6, I could of grabbed all of it in focus. Would of been a cool set of three photos above. Below is some bike art! Real photos, but how did I do that? Cheers!
