I don't know what draws so many record numbers of women to the Snelling race, but it really was a great race, as the drama played out. With the high winds and action at the front, in time the field was strung out the length of the course, and that opens up the race, giving the fans a more personal view and interesting perspective of each rider. I think with the perfect mid day start time for this race around noon, there is no reason more fans can't turn out to watch the pro women battle it out.
